SydneyTalent attends Electrical and Information Engineering Foundation inaugural dinner

SydneyTalent CEO Anne Moore and Client Engagement Manager Karina Newmarch attended the inaugural annual dinner of the Electrical and Information Engineering Foundation on Tuesday 23 March.

The dinner was a great social occasion for members of the Foundation, the School of Electrical and Information Engineering and its alumni.  The black tie dinner also acknowledged the contributions of Professor Vassilios Agelidis to the Foundation and the University of Sydney.

Mr Mike Quigley Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, NBN Co Limited, presented at the gala dinner.  Mr Quigley has overall responsibility for the roll-out of the National Broadband Network throughout Australia.  He joined NBN Co after a distinguished 36-year career at the French telecommunications giant, Alcatel.

“SydneyTalent is an advocate for all faculties at the University of Sydney,” said Anne Moore, CEO, SydneyTalent.  “The evening was a great way to honor a colleague and touch base with the Engineering Faculty Alumni and our industry contacts.

“It was also extremely exciting to hear Mike Quigley speak of the many opportunities that will exist for researchers to develop NBN applications.  New applications delivered by this technology are likely to be life-changing for so many Australians as we transform the face of communication and knowledge sharing across the continent.”
