SydneyTalent at the Shanghai World Expo 2010
As a key part of the University of Sydney’s gold sponsorship of the Australian Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo from 1 May to 31 October 2010, SydneyTalent was invited to showcase their unique Learning and Development offer by designing a specific skills development program for Pavilion staff. In April, the SydneyTalent team conducted their intensive Leadership and Teamwork workshops over a 5-day period for all 250 employees and volunteers at the $84million Australian Pavilion. Staff included all customer-facing and team leader employees from retail staff through to hospitality, technical, sales and marketing staff.
SydneyTalent CEO, Anne Moore said; “For any Australian company that has a China footprint, we have a large population of mandarin-speaking students in our pool of pre-graduates. Similarly, our offering is ideal for APAC companies that have offices in Australia. It provides a great way to repatriate graduates who have been studying at the University of Sydney and who are taking part in the SydneyTalent Learning and Development program.”
“We are constantly connecting SydneyTalent students with multinational organisations both in Australia and China to fulfil the high employment demand and growth between the two markets,” added Moore.
The Australian Pavilion will be a spectacular centrepiece for Australian business, education, culture, tourism and communities with a series of business events over the next six months.
