What is SydneyTalent's response to the potential academic impact of student employment?

SydneyTalent acknowledges that students need to play a number of different roles during their academic career. Both the University of Sydney and SydneyTalent expect students to make their studies a top priority. Maintaining financial stability can decrease stress and increase the quality of a student's lifestyle, while the provision of course-related workplace learning complements a student's academic perspective. These advantages provide a positive and comprehensive student experience.

How does SydneyTalent work alongside the internship programs offered by some departments of the University of Sydney?

SydneyTalent intends to complement the programs that are already in place across several of the University's faculties. Our program offers additional options for students who have not found employment through a program in their curriculum. We are able to help support the load on faculty placement programs, and also partner with faculties that do not currently provide employment assistance to their students.

Is there an entry level or grade distinction requirement for your students?

No. SydneyTalent works with all students of the University of Sydney, across all levels and disciplines, including international as well as local students. Once a student has registered with SydneyTalent, they are eligible to apply for work placements and undertake WorkReady Essentials workshops.
