SydneyTalent has defined twelve sets of competencies that describe effective and desirable behaviour for success in all facets of life, including the world of work.

Derived from a range of sources including the University of Sydney's Generic Graduate Attributes, the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) Employability Skills framework, and a range of industry-based graduate competency models, this framework provides a common language for identifying strengths and development needs, establishing performance criteria, and evaluating performance in the workplace.

WorkReady Orientation™

SydneyTalent's WorkReady Orientation™ gives SydneyTalent employees the practical skills they need to make an immediate positive contribution in the workplace. SydneyTalent employees are conversant in all key aspects of OH&S and other basic workplace practices, ensuring legal compliance before they walk through the door. 

WorkReady Essentials™

Throughout their work placements, SydneyTalent employees undertake SydneyTalent's WorkReady Essentials™, five face-to-face interactive training workshops designed to develop the life skills identified by society and industry as key to success. The workshops are designed to help students –

  • gain a clear and thorough understanding of what is expected of them in the workplace
  • further develop pragmatic employability skills that can be immediately applied across a broad range of contexts, including the workplace

WorkPlace Performance Development™

Using SydneyTalent's efficient online system, managers are able to set measurable performance goals and guide a SydneyTalent employee's progress by giving constructive, development-focused feedback.
